DNSdoctor is an Open Source Software released under the GPL, and so it needs your contribution to evolve further. We are looking for beta-testers, programmers, DNS gurus, writers, question-answerers, translators, or just currious users. Note that to avoid spam, you will need to susbscribe to the mailing list to be able to post.

How to help

Writer

The documentation is an essential part of the software, and should not be underestimated, unfortunately it is generally one of the less maintained area due to lack of resources, but now that the documentation is online using a wiki anyone can easily make its own contribution.

Translator

DNSdoctor is currently available in english and french, but we would like to see more language like german or spannish for example.

Programmer

You know ruby and you would like to improve DNSdoctor, don't hesitate to take a look at the code or participate in the list dnsdoctor-dev.

DNS Guru

You will be interested by the dnsdoctor-checks mailing list where behaviour of tests are discussed or you can notify us of a check being misimplemented or broken.

You can discuss here of the new checks that you would like to seen in DNSdoctor, or why a check is not done correctly and what should it be.
